Admissions for EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation Citizens

The EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation citizens apply for admissions for study programmes at the Faculty of Economic Sciences – Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens. Also, they are subject to the same tuition fees as the Romanian students.

To begin: Admissions eligibility

The citizens from EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation who wish to study in the Romanian educational institutions must:

  • Have the documents proving the citizenship of the respective state
  • Have the necessary qualification, attested by educational documents
  • Have the necessary educational documents for EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation students, when applying in Romania

Step 1: Recognition of university studies for EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation citizens

The recognition of the studies they have made in their home countries is assured by the National Center of Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) of the Ministry of National Education, according to the law.

Step 2: Prepare the application file for Bachelor Studies with the following documents

  • Photocopy of the recognition certificate of preuniversity studies issue by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas
  • Baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent
    – Photocopy of the original if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian language
    – Photocopy of the original and certified translation in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages
  • Birth certificate – Photocopy of the certified translation
  • Photocopy of the identification paper: passport / identity card, proof of legal name change (if applicable, photocopy for documents in Romanian language / English / French / Spanish / Italian, and certified translation in Romanian for other languages)
  • Photocopy of the medical certificate (in a widespread international language) to prove that the person to be registered for studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other illnesses.
  • Portrait photography

Step 3: Apply for Bachelor Studies

Submit online the application documents using the admission platform, according to the following schedule for Bachelor studies:

Step 4: English language requirements

Take an English Proficiency Test.

If you choose to enroll for the Business Administration bachelor’s degree programme, an English language study programme, and do not have an accepted English-language certificate, you will need to take an eliminatory test to prove your proficiency in English. The test is marketed with admitted/rejected.

  • Provide proof that you have studied abroad in English, for at least at least 6 months. Demonstrate your studies in English with a document that attests and mentions the exact study period in this language.
  • Add your admission application a proof your English language proficiency based on one of the recognized certificates

Step 5: Candidate classification

After completing the admissions process, the Admission Committee will generate the ranking of the candidates in descending order based on the admission average score and the study programmes options expressed in the application form.

Step 6: Register for Bachelor Studies

To become a student at Faculty of Economic Sciences – Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, an accepted candidate should register and confirm the spot allocated during the admission process in the following by time-period:

Step 2: Prepare the application file for Master Studies with the following documents

  • Photocopy of the recognition certificate of university studies issue by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas
  • Photocopy of the university diploma or its equivalent
    – Photocopy of the original if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian language
    – Photocopy of the original and photocopy of the certified translation in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages
  • Photocopy of of the baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent
    – Photocopy of the original if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian language
    – Photocopy of the original and photocopy of the certified translation in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages
  • Birth certificate – Photocopy of the certified translation
  • Photocopy of the identification paper: passport / identity card, proof of legal name change (if applicable, copy for documents in Romanian language / English / French / Spanish / Italian, and certified translation in Romanian for other languages)

Master Admissions Test at Faculty of Economic Sciences ULBS consists in a written multiple-choice test.

Step 6: Candidate classification

After completing the admissions process, the Admission Committee will generate the ranking of the candidates in descending order based on the admission average score (75% x Overall average score of the Bachelor Degree exam + 25% x Written exam – multiple-choice test) and the study programmes options expressed in the application form.
