Monica Beca
My name is Monica Beca and after graduating the Marketing Bachelor program, I am currently following a master program within the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. The globalization era brought various opportunities for youth in the field of education but from all the local, national and international universities I chose the Faculty of Economic Sciences to be the place to start my professional journey.
During the 3 years I spent in FSE as a student I had the opportunity to develop my knowledge regarding economy in general and marketing in particular, now being prepared for the labor market. CSE, the Business Students Club was an important part of my student life, here having the occasion to get in contact with business people, to collaborate with other students and teachers in developing various projects, thus being able to perfect myself.
Being a student in the Faculty of Economics I had the opportunity to broaden my horizons by applying to Erasmus
Sibiu is a dynamic city which, through the international partnerships and events managed to obtain a valuable reputation around Europe and even beyond its borders. Being a student in the Faculty of Economics I had the opportunity to broaden my horizons by applying to Erasmus mobility. Therefore, by choosing from over 40 international partner universities of FES, in 2011, I packed my life in a suitcase and spent six months at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Deventer, Netherlands. Here, coming into contact with students from all over the world, I realized the values I "‹"‹accumulated during my studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences in Sibiu: high level of knowledge, adaptability, maturity and enthusiasm. After the end of the Erasmus mobility I had the chance to continue the internationalization process at home by being part of Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Sibiu and by contributing to the development of the international framework through the activities carried out together with foreign students or with local students who are interested to study abroad.
After graduating the bachelor program, I chose to continue my studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, being now enrolled in the newest master program, namely Master in Business Management. Although the education framework of LBUS was not new for me, I had the pleasant surprise to discover new positive aspects of the system through the development of new project together with my teachers and colleagues. It was also now that I had the chance to be part of the organizing committee of the International Week of the faculty and also to attend lectures given by valuable speakers from prestigious universities from Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey or Latvia.
Looking back, I am glad I chose Sibiu, LBUS and the Faculty of Economic Sciences to take my first steps in becoming an adult, a professional, and not least a better person.
