2. Submitting Your Materials

This journal uses ScholarOne for online submission and peer review. ScholarOne is a “comprehensive workflow-management system for scholarly journals, books, and conferences”. Further information on ScholarOne can be found here, and queries can be directed to the Editorial Office at revista.economica@ulbsibiu.ro.

Submission Steps

  1. Create an account: If you’re a new user, register for an account on the ScholarOne platform.
  2. Complete submission form: Fill in all required fields, including manuscript details and author information.
  3. Upload files: Submit the manuscript (anonymized version), supplementary materials (if any), and the title page (not anonymized).
  4. Associate ORCID: Authors must link their ORCID iD to their submission.

Anonymization

Ensure the manuscript is anonymized for double-blind peer review.

Revista Economica conducts anonymized peer-review. When uploading your manuscript you will need to upload a manuscript file with no identifying author information (designate as Main Document) and a separate title page (designate as Title Page) with author details. Remove all identifying details such as author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments.

Authorship and Contributions

All authors listed in manuscripts submitted to this journal must confirm that they meet the authorship criteria established by disciplinary standards. It is also essential to ensure that no individual who should reasonably be recognized as an author has been omitted. For further details on the journal’s authorship policy, please refer to the publishing ethics section.

Author Affiliations

Author affiliations should accurately reflect the institution(s) where the research was conducted, supported, or approved. For non-research content, affiliations should correspond to the institution(s) with which each author is currently associated.

Funding Statement

If applicable, authors must provide a declaration of funding sources. The full official name of the funding organization and the corresponding grant numbers should be clearly stated. Additionally, authors must specify the role, if any, that their financial sponsors played in the study’s design, execution, data analysis and interpretation, or manuscript preparation. If the funding body had no involvement, this must be explicitly stated.

Supplementary Materials

Supplementary materials include content that, while not essential for understanding the main manuscript, may provide additional context or interest to readers. These materials will be made available online alongside the article but will not appear in the printed journal. Examples of supplementary materials include, but are not limited to, appendices, additional tables or figures, datasets, videos, and audio files.

ORCID Requirement

All authors are required to provide an ORCID iD when submitting a manuscript to this journal. ORCID assigns a unique identifier to researchers, integrating seamlessly with key research workflows such as manuscript submissions and grant applications. This offers several advantages:

  • Enhanced discoverability: ORCID improves the visibility of your publications by enabling smarter publisher systems and ensuring that readers can reliably find your authored work.
  • Increased convenience: As ORCID adoption grows across institutions and publishers, providing your ORCID iD streamlines registration processes, automatically linking activities to your ORCID record and eliminating the need to manually re-enter information across multiple platforms.
  • Efficient record-keeping: Your ORCID profile serves as a centralized repository for validated information about your research activities and institutional affiliations, which you can manage and share as needed.

If you do not yet have an ORCID iD, you will need to create one before submitting a manuscript to this journal. You can register for an ORCID iD directly through your ScholarOne user account or via https://ORCID.org/register.

3. Open Access and Publication Costs

Revista Economica operates under the Gold Open Access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible and reusable under a Creative Commons license. To support open access publishing, authors or their institutions may be required to cover Article Processing Charges (APCs). For full details on fees, funding options, and possible waivers, please refer to the journal’s fees and pricing section.
