THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS ON THE ROMANIAN BANKING SYSTEM

Abstract:
The financial globalization determined the amplification of financial interconnections, increased the system complexity and efficiency, sped-up the undergoing financial flows, but also led to the rapid transmission of shocks and negative consequences of the crisis affecting the banking system. Europe and especially the Eurozone are confronted with the most severe banking crisis since the introduction of EMU and until now.
