Course description:
The course is designed to provide students with the language and skills necessary in order to communicate effectively in today's diverse global business environment. It places special emphasis on communicating in everyday business situations (socializing, telephoning, presenting, participating in meetings and negotiations, writing letters, emails and reports), with a view to improving students' confidence and effectiveness in speaking, reading, listening and writing English in professional contexts, expanding their specialized vocabulary, and building their awareness of cross-cultural businss practices.
Course objectives:
1. Help students communicate in business by developing their skills in different areas of both oral and written communication (socializing, telephoning, presentations, meetings, negotiations, letters, emails, reports)
2. Improve students' knowledge of the English language used in these areas (grammar, sentence structure, specialized vocabulary)
3. Introduce the various categories of business correspondence
4. Develop students' business vocabulary
