Course description:

This course aims to provide an overview of the most important factors that might affect business communication in an international context. There are certain aspects to be taken into consideration when interacting with people from other cultures: habits, values, non-verbal communication practices etc.

Course objectives:

1. Understand the most important concepts of intercultural business communication

2. Understand the role communication plays in developing international relations

3. Recognize the cultural variables

4. Get familiar with some norms, rituals and taboos of other cultures

5. Know the most common barriers that affect intercultural business communication

6. Develop some competences in intercultural managerial communication
