ENLanguage requirements for study programmes in English

  • For acknowledged study programs that are carried out in english, the Faculty of Economic Sciences – Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu will organize a foreign language test.
  • The candidates that come from countries where the official language is the language in which the courses are run and the candidates who have an internationally acknowledged language certificate will be exempt from this test.

ROLanguage requirements for study programmes in Romanian

  • Foreign citizens from EU third countries will be registered for university and post-graduate studies only after graduating the Romanian language preparatory year or on the basis of a certificate proving Romanian linguistic competencies.
  • During the preparatory year, the candidates will learn the necessary Romanian language vocabulary as well as the specific vocabulary needed for the future studies.
  • The duration of the preparatory course for bachelor degree studies is of one academic year, while for the master’s degree studies is of at least 6 months.
  • When registering for study programs that require Romanian linguistic competencies, the following categories of persons are exempt from the obligation to present the certificate of graduation of the Romanian language preparatory year:
    (a) Candidates who present Romanian study documents (diplomas and certificates) or study documents which prove at least four consecutive years of study in a pre-university school or at least three consecutive years of study in an accredited high education institution within the Romanian national system;
    (b) Candidates who provide Romanian language certificates at minimum level of B1, according the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, issued by accredited institutions.

To be eligible to apply to Faculty of Economics Sciences ULBS, you must meet the following criteria:

Step 1: The application file for Bachelor Studies must include the following documents

  • Birth certificate – copy and legally certified translation;
  • Copy of the document proving a stable residence in a foreign country;
  • Copy of the passport – valid at least 6 months after the date when the letter of acceptance to studies is issued;
  • The application for the issuance of the Letter of Acceptance to Studies, presented in Annex no. 2, which is part of the national methodology (Order of the Ministry of National Education no. 3473/2017), all rubrics filled in entirely, in two copies;

  • Copy and legally certified translation of the baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent authenticated by the domestic authorities from issuer country;
  • Academic records – copy and legally certified translations for the completed studies;
  • Certificate of completing the Romanian language preparatory year or on the basis of a certificate proving Romanian linguistic competencies (for study programmes in Romanian language);
  • Medical certificate (in a widespread international language) to prove that the person to be registered for studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other illnesses.

To be eligible to apply to Master Studies at Faculty of Economic Sciences ULBS, you must meet the following criteria:

Step 1: The application file for Master Studies must include the following documents

  • Birth certificate – copy and legally certified translation;
  • Copy of the document proving a stable residence in a foreign country;
  • Copy of the passport – valid at least 6 months after the date when the letter of acceptance to studies is issued;
  • The application for the issuance of the Letter of Acceptance to Studies, presented in Annex no. 2, which is part of the national methodology (Order of the Ministry of National Education no. 3473/2017), all rubrics filled in entirely, in two copies;

  • Medical certificate (in a widespread international language) to prove that the person to be registered for studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other illnesses.

Step 2: Admissions Procedure

  • The candidates will send the files directly to Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.
  • Our high education institution will analyse the files and send to the Ministry of National Education – General Department for International Relations a list of people that are nominated to receive the Letter of Acceptance to Studies.
  • Along with the list, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu will send a copy of the candidate’s application file.
  • After the file evaluation, The Ministry of National Education – General Department for International Relations will issue the Letter of Acceptance to Studies and send it to the high education institutions.

Register for studies

  • To become a student at Faculty of Economic Sciences – Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, you must pass the admission process and obtain the letter of acceptance to studies from the Ministry of National Education.
  • During registration candidates will present identification and study documents in original form, together will the letter of acceptance to studies and a passport with a valid “study visa”.
  • The Hague Apostille is requested for diplomas from countries which are parties to the Hague Apostille , issued by the competent authorities in the issuing countries.
  • Diplomas issued in countries which are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention shall be authenticated or accompanied by an authentication certificate from by the competent authorities in the issuing countries.
